Students for Mobility

Due to the tremendous success of our pilot programs at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and San Diego State University, we are extremely excited about continuing our Student Based Fundraising Programs.

Want to start a "Student Based Fundraising Campaign? This program gives students the opportunity to think creatively and fundraise to help kids and adults with no hope, no mobility or freedom into wheelchairs and go "Back to School", Church, or Work for the very first time. This is the perfect opportunity for students to learn the direct impact of their philanthropic contributions by raising money to send one child back to school, one wheelchair at a time. With such a tangible item, a wheelchair, it's easy for students to grasp the effects of their fundraising efforts. We hope you can join us in sending thousands of children back to school, provide mobility for others to go to Church, Work, or just Outside.

As program director, I will be happy to support your effort by providing you with marketing materials and ideas and collecting funds for your upcoming events. Why are we different! A unique aspect of the Wheelchair Foundation is our ability to personalize your gift of giving. Donations at certain levels allow you to designate, with some limitations, where in the world you would like to deliver your wheelchairs. We also offer donors the rare opportunity to experience first hand the distribution and see how your gift of moibility is an immediate life changing experience.

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, California

Students from Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo have raised over $325,000 and have personally delivered 1000's of wheelchairs to needy recipients in Peru, Panama, Africa, Guatemala, Argentina, Belize and Mexico.

San Diego State University

San Diego State University have rais more then $30,000 last year that was matched by teh Conejo Valley Rotary Club to provide wheelchairs to Colombia, Ecuador, Ukraine and Romania.

"Rock the Block" Student Organization

Students from Provo, Utah through their "Rock the Block" organization are raisng 1,000s of dollors by holding events with bands and food form local vendors in parking lots with the help from corporate and private sponsors and City authorities. The students have raised funds and personally delivered 100's of wheelchairs to recipients in Peru and Bolivia.

Tyson Tigers of Tyson Elementary School in Springdale Arkansas

Tyson Tigers students of Tyson Elemenmtary School led by teacher Cathy Crouch earned enough money during the academic year to sponsor 98 wheelchairs that will be distributed to people in need all over the world.

Kyle Malanowski - North Broward Preparatory School of Coral Gables, Florida

Kyle Malanowski, a fourteen year old eight grade student at North Broward Preparatory School in Coral Gables, Florida had been collecting money for the Wheelchair Foundation through Project Wheelchair, a community service project that he created. Kyle began Project Wheelchair by sending flyers to friends and family as part of a Christmas card mailing and later created a website, www.projectwheelchair.org to keep tract of his donations and people informed of his fundraisng progress. Kyle has raised over $8000.
